Animal Care Associates recommends regular wellness exams for all species of animals for the same reason your physician and dentist recommend them problems can be detected in the early stages and be treated with less difficulty, less expense, and with better success. We recommend a yearly physical exam for adult pets and every 6 months for seniors.
If you can detect a problem in its early stages, it’s more likely to be treated and resolved with less expense, less difficulty, and better success.
For dogs and cats, vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and routine deworming are important components of wellness care that can prevent diseases that are not only life-threatening but very expensive to treat. We can recommend a wellness program based on your pet’s age, lifestyle, overall health, and breed (some breeds are predisposed to certain health problems).
